Flying High

One can't capture the Blue Heron but can revel in the feeling of majesty and freedom of the bird in flight.  This one lives in the Irvine Water District among the ponds, marshy areas and trees overlooking streams.  This is a newly found place to paint and I feel lucky to have found it in the least likely spot close to the University of Irvine.
